In particular, the speed at which digital technologies are developing creates a strong impetus for educators to enhance their digital competence. The realisation of the potential educational benefits of artificial intelligence (AI), and digital data more generally, calls for the active and meaningful engagement of teachers and school leaders. This in turn requires the development of the necessary AI and data literacy to appreciate the full potential of such systems, while being aware of their drawbacks and limitations. What teachers should be aware of, understand, and be able to do and what kind of attitudes could support them were questions to which the European Digital Education Hub\u2019s (EDEH) squad on artificial intelligence in education searched for answers. We are starting with the presentation of several documents that cover teachers\u2019 competences in the area of digital technology, data and artificial intelligence. Competences are presented in three segments, although there are overlaps in competences for teaching for, with and about AI.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #e6a9ec\"> Teaching for AI <\/span> entails competences for all citizens, including teachers and learners, to engage confidently, critically and safely with AI systems to provide them with the necessary knowledge, skills and attitudes to live in a world surrounded and shaped by AI.<br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #e6a9ec\"> Teaching with AI <\/span>focuses on how AI systems can be used for educational goals, including using pedagogical judgement on when to use them, but also knowledge about the functioning of underlying algorithms, pedagogical models and data.<br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #e6a9ec\"> Teaching about AI <\/span>is the more technical part, focused on training students in the fundamentals of AI. It is usually part of AI literacy which should comprise both the technological and the human dimensions of AI organised according to the student\u2019s age. Knowledge about AI basics is key for preparing students for the labour market, independently of their future careers.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #e6a9ec\"> Briefing report ends with Recommendations by the Squad<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Different competences are needed for teachers, school leaders, IT support personnel and other professionals in education. Posebice, brzina kojom se digitalne tehnologije razvijaju sna\u017eno poti\u010de u\u010ditelje na unaprje\u0111ivanje digitalnih kompetencija. Ostvarenje potencijalnih obrazovnih prednosti umjetne inteligencije (UI) i digitalnih podataka op\u0107enito zahtijeva aktivan i smislen anga\u017eman u\u010ditelja i ravnatelja \u0161kola. To ujedno zahtijeva razvoj pismenosti u podru\u010dju umjetne inteligencije i podataka za razumijevanje punog potencijala takvih sustava, uz razvijanje svijesti o njihovim nedostacima i ograni\u010denjima. \u010cega bi u\u010ditelji trebali biti svjesni, \u0161to bi trebali razumjeti i mo\u0107i napraviti te kakve stavove bi trebali razvijati, pitanja su na koja je tim za umjetnu inteligenciju u obrazovanju Europske platforme za digitalno obrazovanje (EDEH) tra\u017eio odgovore. Po\u010dinjemo s predstavljanjem nekoliko dokumenata koji pokrivaju kompetencije u\u010ditelja u podru\u010dju digitalne tehnologije, podataka i umjetne inteligencije. Kompetencije su predstavljene u tri segmenta, koji se me\u0111usobno preklapaju: kompetencije za pou\u010davanje za umjetnu inteligenciju, pou\u010davanje s umjetnom inteligencijom te pou\u010davanje o umjetnoj inteligenciji.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"color: #e6a9ec\">Pou\u010davanje za umjetnu inteligenciju <\/span>podrazumijeva kompetencije svih gra\u0111ana, uklju\u010duju\u0107i u\u010ditelje i u\u010denike, da se pouzdano, kriti\u010dki i sigurno koriste sustavima umjetne inteligencije kako bi im se pru\u017eilo potrebno znanje, vje\u0161tine i stavovi za \u017eivot u svijetu okru\u017eenom i oblikovanom umjetnom inteligencijom.<\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #e6a9ec\">Pou\u010davanje s umjetnom inteligencijom <\/span>usredoto\u010duje se na to kako se sustavi umjetne inteligencije mogu koristiti za obrazovne ciljeve, uklju\u010duju\u0107i pedago\u0161ko procjenjivanje o tome kada ih koristiti, ali i znanja o funkcioniranju osnovnih algoritama, pedago\u0161kih modela i podataka.<\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #e6a9ec\">Pou\u010davanje o umjetnoj inteligenciji <\/span>sadr\u017ei vi\u0161e tehni\u010dkih aspekata, usmjereno je na obrazovanje u\u010denika o osnovama umjetne inteligencije. Obi\u010dno je to dio pismenosti o umjetnoj inteligenciji koja bi trebala uklju\u010divati i tehnolo\u0161ku i ljudsku dimenziju umjetne inteligencije prilago\u0111enu dobi u\u010denika. Poznavanje osnova umjetne inteligencije klju\u010dno je za pripremu u\u010denika za tr\u017ei\u0161te rada, neovisno o njihovoj budu\u0107oj karijeri.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong><span style=\"color: #e6a9ec\">Pregledno izvje\u0161\u0107e zavr\u0161ava Preporukama stru\u010dne skupine<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Razli\u010dite kompetencije potrebne su za u\u010ditelje, voditelje \u0161kola, informati\u010dko osoblje i druge stru\u010dnjake u obrazovanju.
